Pooches Paradise strongly believes the safety of the dogs in our care is a top priority. For this reason, our entire staff is trained and certified in Pet First Aid and CPR. The training provides the staff with the knowledge and ability to handle both common medical and emergency situations in a confident and effective manner. The training also teaches the staff to become safety minded by learning how to prevent potential injuries or accidents. We are prepared to provide immediate action and care if ever the need arises.

American Kennel Club: Canine Good Citizen – Approved Evaluator

American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen (CGS) Program recognizes dogs that have good behavior at home and in the community. The CGS Program is a two-part program that emphasizes responsible pet ownership and good manners for dogs. Dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.

Pooches Paradise trainer, Mary Sellaro, is a certified American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen evaluator. The CGC Program lays the foundation for other AKC activities such as obedience, agility, tracking, and performance events.
